How does it work?
We offer a choice at Free Fishers Tutors. You can connect with one of our tutors online via Zoom or in person at Hamilton East Public Library. We encourage students to try the virtual method first but understand that is not the best learning environment for everyone. You will indicate which method you prefer on the Find a Tutor form.

If you want a virtual tutor...
-One of our tutors will contact you through the email or phone number you provided on the Find a Tutor form -Together, you will determine a time to meet on Zoom and what material the meeting will cover. -Your tutor will send you a link to their Zoom meeting as soon as possible. You do not need a Zoom account to use the link. -The standard meeting length is 30 minutes, but other lengths are acceptable if agreed upon by both parties. -After the tutoring session is over, your tutor will send you a link to a form to fill out about the meeting. This allows us to have confidence in the quality of our service and that your needs are met. |
If you want an in person tutor...
-One of our tutors will contact you through the email or phone number you provided on the Find a Tutor form -Together, you will determine a time to meet outside the library and what material the meeting will cover. -The standard meeting length is 30 minutes, but other lengths are acceptable if agreed upon by both parties. -All parties must wear a face mask at all times. -If you have any symptoms of Covid-19, contact your tutor immediately. You can cancel, meet through Zoom, or reschedule an in person meeting at least two weeks later. -If your tutor experiences any symptoms of Covid-19, a replacement tutor will meet with you. -After the tutoring session is over, your tutor will send you a link to a form to fill out about the meeting.
